AskStudent reaches 200,000 Unique Visitors

I first reported AskStudent reaching the 100,000 unique visitor mark on April 28th 2007. It took us 190 days since our founding on October 20th 2006 to reach that milestone. At that time the mission here at AskStudent was to get the next 100,000 unique visitors in half that time or around 100 days. Well, I am very happy to post here today that we achieved our target in 56 days. AskStudent today passed the 200,000 unique visitor mark which does not include repeat visitors.

The site allows new bands to upload promotional tracks, announce gig dates and create profiles to promote themselves alongside major artists such as the Artic Monkeys and The Twang.

According to a survey by Jockey International, most guys, over 46% of them, dread the wedgie as their most uncomfortable underwear situation. Apparently, their high school torments still seem to be fresh in the minds of most adults whose torments didn’t end with their schoolyard bullies or on the playground.
Though not the Atomic wedgie variety administered by drunken members of the JV football team, this self-inflicted wedgie beat out Elastic Stretching Out Too Much (40%) and Scratchy Tags/Tags That Stick Out (36%), to be the number one problem guys battle with their underwear, according to the survey results (Actually wearing “tightie whities” was apparently not considered a “problem” in this survey.)
And when one of these situations occurs, what did guys say was the most embarrassing place to have to “make an adjustment”? According to the survey, most guys (45%) dread doing a little shifting during a job interview. (”We’d love to have you on our team, Bob, but it appears you have a bad case of panty crickets.”) This was followed by Romantic Dinner in a distant second with 21%, (I guess pulling a wedgie out of your crack over some prime rib and Chianti doesn’t bother most guys), and Business Meeting with 18%. At the bottom of the list was Meeting Her Parents for the First Time with only 11% caring if they did a little clean-and-jerk in front of her mom and dad. (Well, if it didn’t bother her over dinner…)

Most of us have come to adore Comedy Central’s “Reno 911″, a Fox reality show about Cops and our nation’s law enforcement officials. We see them through the eyes of Lt.Jim Dangle(Thomas Lennon) and his band of Reno’s ragtag Police Squad. Now, making the jump to the big screen with Reno 911! Miami The Movie, we see our favorite cops go to Miami Florida to a Police Convention. However, a toxic chemical is released at the convention and our Reno officers are the only ones not infected and are now handed over the task of protecting the city of Miami. Guess what .. buffoonery ensues. We see our guys in thong swimsuits, face off with alligators and many more sexual situations and cursing all which definitely satisfy our appetite and the R rating. Now, the DVD of Reno 911! Miami The Movie is out and is a must buy for comedy fans.
In order to give fans of the movie more avenues for entertainment, Fox has added some fun games to the reno dvd website. You have gaming options where you can pick your favorite most wanted posters, Calling all units game and others.
I loved the Midnight shootout game of all the games being offered. At the Midnight shootout shooting range, you are a rookie cop and are trying to prove yourself to the Reno veteran cops. You will be shown a scene with the bad guys, cops and civilians thrown in. You have to take it the scene and after 5 seconds, that portion of the screen is covered up or in other words you are “blind folded”. Now you are given 10 rounds which you can use to pump into the bad guys. You get 100 points for each hit but are also docked points if you hit a civilian and even more if you shoot a cop. In one of the levels you will see a cop along with the bad guys. Try to aim for him more than others. You get a bonus 250 points for each hit instead of the usual 100 points. In the final round, you can have fun with a rocket launcher after going from small guns to an AK47 to assault the downtown.
