Student makes a Television Commerical for Apple iPod Touch

If you watched TV anytime since last month and especially if you watched the Baseball WordSeries between the Boston RedSox and the Colorado Rockies, you must have watched the vibrant and youthful Television commercial for the new Apple iPod Touch.
This ad is a high def version of the ad which a 18 year old English student named Nick Haley created on his very own Macbook. Nick is a freshman at the University of Leeds and is from Warwick, England. In the ad, Nick shows off the various features of the iPod touch with “Music Is My Hot, Hot sex” by the Brazilian band CSS playing in the background.

Hispanic Students under performing at School

The Charlotte Observer reports that Hispanic students are under performing at school and in academics in general. For example, the drop out rates for the Hispanic students is nearly 9% compared to only 4.5% in white students in North Carolina. Even worse is that the study indicates that nearly 50% of the girls are expected to be pregnant before their 20th birthday.
The cause of Hispanic Students under performing at School is being attributed to a number of factors. However, the one that ranks right at the top is the lack of support from their in general uneducated parents and the lack of support at home. Also, there is a steady migration of the youth to gangs in order to gain acceptance with almost 40% indicating that they are or facing ethnic discrimination.

Most expensive ever Guinness advert features large-scale domino game.
Directed by Nicolai Fuglsig of Sony Bravia ‘Balls’ fame, it is a celebration of community.
The advert was shot on location in a remote side village called Iruya, in the Salta region of northern Argentina, with a population of around 1,000 people.
Toppling items included: 6,000 dominoes, 10,000 books, 400 tyres, 75 mirrors, 50 fridges, 45 wardrobes and 6 cars.

Uppsala Hacker convicted of hacking Universities and Cisco Systems

A 19 year old Swedish teenager also known as the “Uppsala Hacker” was today convicted on seven counts for hacking into 3 Swedish Universities … Linköping University, Umea University and Uppsala University as well as the Swedish National Supercomputer Center in Linkoping. In a separate instance, the FBI is requesting Swedish authorities to press charges against him for hacking into Cisco Systems and stealing source code.
About three years ago, Swedish Universities were under a wave of intrusions. Around the same time in May 2004, Cisco servers were breached and source code was posted online. The FBI suspects it is the same hacker. A Swedish investigation resulted in the arrest of the then 16 year old “Uppsala Hacker”. The intrusions stopped after his arrest.
The hacker has since admitted to being the author of the tools that were using for the hacking attempts. However, he claims that other people had access to the tools and that he is not responsible for the crimes.
