PPP Direct Launches
PayPerPost has announced a new feature called PayPerPost Direct or PPP Direct, which allows bloggers to write sponsored reviews directly to the advertisers who come visiting their site. You specify the minimum amount you want to be paid for this direct opportunities and paste a badge or widget on your blog. Advertisers coming to your site, if they like what your blog has to offer, click on the badge attached and make you an offer and order specific paid posts, all without leaving your site.
This concept of direct paid blogging existed in PayPerPost’s immediate competitors .. ReviewMe and SponsoredReviews. However the biggest benefit of PPP direct is that it lets you keep more of the money you earned. For example, ReviewMe charges 50- 100% markup on your post where say you specify a minimum amount of $100, ReviewMe gets $50. In the case of PPP Direct, the middleman is eliminated where you get 90% of the amount you specified. So in this case, you would get $90 and PayPerPost gets only $10 of which $5 goes towards PayPal fees and transaction charges. The advertisers are coming and finding you. They come and click on your badge .. so you should be keeping the majority of the money you make and not giving it to someone else.
You might think that oh well.. I can skip all this and place a badge on my site where I can get 100% of the amount by telling advertisers how much I charge because in any case, the advertisers are coming to my blog and I am not advertising anywhere. Well.. you can do that but think about the negotiation process and then the transaction process later on. Say an advertiser is interested, would he pay you $100 before you write the post? Would you write the review first and then keep waiting for the advertiser to pay out? Well, you can eliminate on these unnecessary distractions and focus on what you do best.. blog. PPP Direct has built in a full negotiation and transaction auditing system where you and the advertiser can hash out all the details of the post and money together.
Ease of Use
