I do think it's absolutely worthwhile to do well in school, but as with most things it's all about balance and college is as much about being able to handle yourself socially as it is about cramming for tests. I find the biggest benefit of my reading is my superior vocabulary, ability to think intellectually, and the fact that it is the only way I can not think about something that is bothering me haha.
