I love it! I only wish I had read it about 7 years ago when I was a freshman in college, or really any point throughout. I was the type who could write every paper and pass every test without going to class regularly, but I wish now that I had gone, it would have been a completely different experience.

The classes I remember the most and learned the most from were the ones with attendance policies. I also had one outstanding professor who took us on educational "field trips". I was a Criminology major, and he took us to interview death row inmates, something I'll never forget.

The only thing I felt was missing in this article was addressing students who also have jobs while in school. I worked overnight full time, and went to class in the morning, which made it a little more difficult, but it built character.

Bachelor of Science in Criminology with a 3.9 GPA in 2007

This is convoluted and only geared towards one type of learner. The reason why so many people mess up their first year of college is because there are several different personality types and the educational system only teaches to one.
