All he had to do was walk into the store at 8AM on launch day and walk out with his Xbox 360. So remember, smaller is better. For the truly rich and desperate ( Ebay.com ): Unfortunately for the rest of us hardcore gamers, there are a lot of people out there who don’t care about a PS3 or for that matter, any gaming console. They are out there to make a quick buck. A quick check out Ebay, I found more than a dozen auction listings, with one of them reaching an auction bid of $3100 and about 41 bids and most of them in the $2100+ area. GameStop threatened to fire employees who buy a PS3: ” At my store its not “asked” that you wait. You are made to wait!!. We are also told that anyone buying a PS3 on the 17th would be fired and the person ringing them up will be fired also.Not to mention all employees were automatically moved to the BOTTOM of the list. So I said, “What if I quit, can I get my PS3 then? ” NO!!The DM said I was employed when I reserved, so NO.”

USB cable not included with retail SIXAXIS: In a surprising move, Sony has opted not to include a USB cable with their retail SIXAXIS controllers. A USB cable is required to charge the controller’s integrated battery, otherwise, the controller is rendered useless.

The retail PlayStation 3 contains a USB cable in the package, so at least consumers will have one included cable to charge controllers. However, if consumers wish to charge multiple controllers, after market cables appear to be the only solution.So, Sony does it again. What else can go wrong for the PS3

Four people shot while waiting for PS3 console at a Best Buy store, including a 27 NewsFirst Reporter : Dozens of people camped out in front the Best Buy store on Nicholasville Road. They’re hoping to get their hands on a Sony PlayStation 3 console. But the wait turned serious when someone drove by and fired shots at people waiting in line.

PS3 closes Walmart in California: Rowdy campers cause store to close. 75-100 people camping out for a PS3 outside a Super Walmart in Palmdale, CA got too rowdy for their own good. Police were called in a shut the store down for the evening. So much for their spots in line!
