UT Cave Explorers Found

Three University of Texas, Austin students who were missing since Saturday at about 6 a.m Eastern Time, in the popular Airmen’s Cave in Austin, Texas were found, the Austin Fire Dept said.

These UT Cave Explorers were found in an area of the Airmen’s cave called Karen’s crawl. A friend of these students called local authorities after the cave explorers did not return by Saturday midnight.

Airmen’s Cave is nearly 12,000 foot long comprising of tight twists and turns. The entrance measures less than 18″ in diameter. It is impossible to stand up inside the Airmen’s cave, which in turn forces the cave explorers to crawl on their hands and knees. The temperature can get low and the rescuers were worried that these UT Students might have gotten tired, cold and disoriented.
