Pigmented Skin Is Vastly Different From Fair Skin

If you’re born with pigmented skin, it’s important to find the right skin care formulation for proper care. ORIKI Cosmeceuticals have developed products specifically for those with Asian, Mediterranean and other Olive (AMO) skin types. AMO skin types should know that pigmented skin has an inherent tendency to show particular reaction patterns that are different from those seen in white skin and responds differently to different stimuli, such as UV lights and scarring. Note how after a minor injury or acne breakout, the affected area might turn a darker color.

Once developed, this pigmentation problem will take longer to resolve and is more resistant to treatment than fair skin. Furthermore, inappropriate skin care might even aggravate this pigmentation problem. Because it tans easily and rarely burns, AMO skin may convey a false sense of security when indeed it requires a different skin care approach. It is not enough to simply divide skin into four categories: dry, normal, combination and oily. Pigmentation plays an enormously important role in the best skin care.

Designed by an American Board Certified Dermatologist and Biochemist, ORIKI Cosmeceuticals incorporates the pigmentation factor into the formulation of its skincare line. You can check out their wide range of skin products which include nourishing creams and whitening lotions
