Facebook might be launching a Music Store
TechCrunch is reporting on a rumor that Facebook might be launching an online music store soon. At this point of time the more likely online music portals it might be competing against seems to be Apple’s iTunes music store.
Another report by Paidcontent insists that this music platform for artists will be competing with MySpace and not iTunes. However, in my personal opinion, Facebook has long conquered MySpace and has emerged as the #1 player in online social hangout sites. If this Music store is launched, they will definitely leverage their member personalities, run contests asking its members to vote. I see a huge huge upside to Facebook and their own music store.
