How to apply mascara and makeup to make your eyes look bigger

One of the most important features on your face are your eyes.  

One great way is to apply your makeup in such a way as to maximize the appearance of your eyes, or in other words, make them appear bigger and really stand out. This will help to liven up your face, without going overboard or appearing too ‘done up.’  

If small eyes are your problem and you want them to appear larger, here are some make-up tricks to help your draw out your eyes and really bring them to life.
#1. Brush a light-colored shadow from your lash line to the brow. Add a second layer from the lash line to the crease.

#2. When applying the liner, widen the line at the outer edge to lift the corner.

#3. An icy blue eyeliner among the lash line will open up heavy eyes

#4. Curl lashes at corner of your eyes. Those lashes are often missed.

#5. Use black or navy blue mascara to add definition. Use black mascara rather than brown to accentuate the eyes a little more.

#6. False lashes do wonders for your eyes

#7. Use an ivory or white highlighter on the brow bone

#8. Darken the brows to frame the eyes. Ignoring the brow area can ruin the look completely.

# 9. Use an eyeliner only on the outer rim of the eyelids and not on the inner

# 10. Use darker eye shadow on the lower lid, and lighter eye shadow on the lid leading up to the eyebrow. This will really open your eyes!
