Yeah, but, hoax doesnt get them through to certain US carriers like sprint and verizon. I just tried it.
This site (http://www.FiveDigitText.com is also anonymous, and free. Some of the anonymous sites took 15 to 20 minutes to send the text, this one is pretty instantaneous. It works perfectly for me.
