The fastest cop car on the planet , meet the Lamborghini Police car

If you have ever driven on European freeways, you know that they are not the place for the faint hearted. They are designed for speed and on some of them, there are no speed limits and guess what, drivers are more than happy and willing to oblige. What doesn’t make them happy is seeing this. After all, its not every day that you are pulled over by the Policia driving a Lamborghini.

This high speed automotive excellence has gone straight to join the boys in Blue in Italy. This is a $280,000 car and understandably, the pride of the Italian police. It was donated by Lamborghini to celebrate the Italian Police’s 152nd anniversary. It is powered by a V10, a 500 horse power engine with a top speed of 309 km/hr or around 192 miles/hr with a 0-100 is 4 seconds. It does not just serve as a good PR engine, it is loaded with the state of the art communications equipment which can record traffic violations and send this data live to their central office .The Lamborghini Police car is usually used in cases of an emergency where speed can really make a difference between life and death and could soon become a common site on their national highways. When are we going to see something like that in the US?
